The Cabinet Secretary for Defence Ambassador Raychelle Omamo on 12th September 2018, presided over the opening Seminar for Kenya -US 2nd Bilateral Defence Forum (BDF) between Kenya and the US held at International Peace Support Training Center (IPSTC), Karen.
Addressing the conference, the Cabinet Secretary Ambassador Omamo expressed her gratitude to both the US delegation and the Kenyan delegation from the Ministry of Defence in attendance.
“The relationship between the US and Kenya has really helped us, especially in dealing with the insecurity issues in our country.. They have trained and educated our soldiers in the ways and tactics of fighting terrorism both in Kenya and beyond our borders ”. Ambassador Omamo said.
In Conclusion, Ambassador Omamo thanked the US delegation for finding time to be in Kenya to impact knowledge and help in the ways forward to increasing peace and security in Kenya.
