Defence Cabinet Secretary Ambassador Raychelle Omamo toured one of the Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) mega projects at Langata Barracks.

The rehabilitation centre which is under construction, commenced in July 2018 and is expected to be completed by January 2020. The CS and her team learnt that the construction of the rehabilitation centre was 38 per cent complete.

The CS said the government was committed to ensuring projects were completed within the stipulated period and urged the contractor to speed up in a bid to meet the deadline as per the Contract Agreement.

During the tour, the CS was accompanied by the Vice Chief of Defence Forces Lieutenant General Robert Kibochi, Chief of Medical Brigadier George Ng’ang’a, Colonel Works Elias Mwanyika and Colonel Projects Maurice Owende among others.
