The Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Defence Amb Raychelle Omamo oversaw the signing of performance contract between the Ministry of Defence and the Kenya Space Agency (KSA) at the Defence Headquarters on 30 May 2018.
In her speech, the CS reiterated her support for the Agency board members and challenged them to make count the next six months of their calendar.
“I would like to acknowledge the hard work the Kenya Space Agency has put in since its inauguration in September 2018. The Ministry of Defence is here, just let us know what we can do to help you achieve your targets,” she said.
The CS also implored the board members to discharge their duties to the best of their ability, deliver value and take charge of the space sector.
The Kenya Space Agency is tasked to develop and nurture a vibrant and viable domestic space industry by enhancing coordination of space related activities among Government agencies, industry and researchers. The Board is chaired by Major General (Rtd) James Aruasa.
Amb Omamo witnessed the signing of various performance contracts between the Ministry and KSA Board, and again between the board and its management.
