9th Batalion soldiers together with Moi Barracks Primary School pupils planted over 1500 trees within the school compound aimed at environmental conservation under the Environmental Soldier Program.
The event was presided over by the Commanding Officer Lt Col S A Safe who is also the Board of Management Chairperson of the school. He encouraged the soldiers & the students to maintain the culture of planting trees in order to conserve the environment.
“I encourage you to take care of these trees and plant more in order to conserve our enviroment,” added the Commanding Officer.
