The Chief of Defence Forces General Robert K. Kibochi message to military fraternity, read by the Chief of Personnel Brigadier Elijah Gatere, reiterated the importance of this day, which has been globally designated to celebrate, reinforce achievements made in HIV/AIDS responses as well as raise awareness and remember those living with HIV, or lost their lives to HIV-related illnesses since 1988. The World AIDS Day remains relevant today, as it serves as a reminder to all of us that HIV pandemic is still a Public Health issue that has threatened the existence of societies for over four decades.
