Chief Executive Officer NDMA Mr. James Oduor flags off the military trucks ferrying drought pellets and water to Turkana and Marsabit counties on 21st Feb 2017 in Nakuru
On Tuesday 21st Feb 2017 Kenya Defence Forces in conjunction with National Drought Management Authority launch a distribution of livestock drought pellets targeting 25 counties affected by drought which was recently declared a national disaster by the Government of Kenya, KDF has promised to provide logistical support by giving out 15 trucks and 2 water bowsers to assist in distribution of livestock feeds and water. Six of the military trucks were flagged off in Nakuru by NDMA Chief Executive officer Mr. James Oduor ferrying a total of 90 tons of livestock drought pellets to Turkana and Marsabit counties. Present during the official flagging off was Lieutenant Colonel Leonard Bett from Kahawa Garrison, NDMA officials and staff of Unga Farm Care Ltd.
