Kenya Continues its Winning Spree in Day Two of EAC 2017 Games

Kenya started the second day of the East Africa Community Military Games and Cultural Events 2017 by winning its two games with the host country, Burundi, as happened during the opening match on day one. In an afternoon game in central Bujumbura, Kenya beat Burundi 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-20) in women volleyball. Uganda and Tanzania are set to play on Monday, 28 August at the same venue in both women netball and volleyball. Thereafter each country shall play with a country it hasn’t played with and the points calculated.  Simultaneously, in one of the barracks of Bujumbura, KDF’s women netball team beat Burundi 78 goals against Burundi’s 12.

In Men’s football, both Uganda and Tanzania drew 1-1 in their maiden game since the games started. At Prince Rwagasore Stadium. This follows Kenya’s 1-0 win against the host in the opener on Saturday. In Men’s basketball, the host were punished by Uganda by 66 baskets against Burundi’s 63. Tanzania and Kenya face each other tomorrow afternoon.
