Lt Koech joined the Armed forces as a cadet in 2001. She was commissioned in 2003 upon completion of her military training at the Armed Forces Training College. She joined the Flying Training School (FTS) the same year becoming the first female officer to do so.

Lt Koech was born 23 years ago and attended St Joseph Girls Chepterit School between 1997 and 2000. Within her demanding flying schedule, Norah, finds plenty of time to keep fit by playing basketball, squash, aerobics and swimming. “I like jogging in the morning to start off my day”, She says. Her interests include traveling, reading motivational books, dancing and listening to music.

For Lt Koech, the sky is the limit “my aspiration is to be a presidential pilot in the Fokker aircraft. My dream is to attain the rank of General in the Armed Forces and to be the first female Kenya Air Force Commander one day ” She says.
