Commander Engineers Brigade Brigadier Stephen Radina hands over the borehole project report to area Member of Parliament Hon Patrick Wainaina ‘Wajungle’.
The Commander Engineers Brigade Brigadier Stephen Radina has led the Engineers’ Water Drilling Squadron team in the official handover of the recently sunk borehole at Landless in Thika. The drilling of the borehole commenced on 19th of this month and took three days to complete.
In his address Brigadier Radina noted that the project was a success, having attained the required depth. He also pointed out that the borehole is one of the best recharging boreholes in Thika area. It has the capability to pump out 12m³ or 12000 liters of water per hour.
The area leaders thanked the Kenya Defence Forces leadership for providing the resources that have seen the drilling of the borehole which has made life easier for the people of Landless.
Dedication of the borehole was conducted by Bishop Dr. Moses Mbugua and named the borehole ‘Jungle-1 KDF.’
