Kenya Navy Officers Bench Marking Visit To Royal Navy Training Institution

A Team of the Kenya Navy officers visits the Royal Navy Training Institution in UK. The team arrived in UK on Sunday 01 October 2017 for a 5 working day visit. On Monday they visited Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC) at Dartmouth where Officer Cadet training is conducted. Tuesday was a visit to HMS Raleigh where Rating training takes Place. Wednesday and Thursday they went to HMS COLLINGWOOD ( the headquarters of the Maritime Warfare School and Surface Stream) and  HMS  SULTAN Where Engineering and Technical training take place.

The team comprises of Col I K Omari- Col Pers HQ KN, Lt Col R Birech -COMDT KNTS, Lt Col P Muthungu -CO Tech, Maj M Sikuku – SO11 CP & Cses, and two instructors from KNTS. The Kenya Defence Advisor in UK Col J D Mokwena and UK Assistant  Defence Advisor Lt Col A Kern also accompanied the team.

The visit is meant to learn and identify new ideas and ways to achieve highest standard of training excellence in the KN.
