ENHANCING DEFENCE COOPERATION 

A Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) delegation, led by Colonel S. Oloko, from Defence Headquarters, Nairobi recently engaged in key negotiations on defence cooperation with their Angolan counterparts in Luanda, Angola. The talks were hosted by the Ministry of Defence of Angola.

This high-level engagement highlights the cordial and longstanding relations between Kenya and Angola, reaffirming both nations’ commitment to strategic partnership, mutual defence collaboration, and regional stability.

Through sustained dialogue, the two countries reiterated their dedication to fostering peace, stability, and enhanced defence cooperation for the mutual benefit of their citizens and the broader region.

As part of the visit, the delegation paid a courtesy call on the Secretary of State for National Defence Policy, of Angola Ministry of National Defence Former Combatants and Homeland Veterans, Excellency José Maria de Alima. They also visited the Kenyan Ambassador to Angola, Amb. Joyce M’maitsi at the Kenya Embassy in Luanda.

Also in attendance were Kenya’s Defence Attaché to the Democratic Republic of Congo (also accredited to Angola), Colonel Leah Yegon, Major Wanyoike Kinuthia, and Mr. Frank Mabeya from Defence Headquarters, Nairobi.
