KN JUNIOR LEADERSHIP COURSE PARTICIPANTS GRADUATE

On 03 July 2025, the Deputy Commander Kenya Navy, Brigadier Sankale Kiswaa, presided over the graduation ceremony for the Kenya Navy Junior Leadership Course (JLC) held at 15 Kenya Rifles (15KR) in Mariakani, Kilifi County.

Tailored for junior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs), the course lays the foundation for leadership, command, and administrative responsibilities essential for career progression and effective performance of duties within various Kenya Navy Units and Formations.

In his address, Brigadier Kiswaa urged the graduates to uphold the high standards of discipline, professionalism, and integrity acquired during the training. He emphasized the need to apply the leadership principles and skills acquired for positive impact within their respective units and formations.

“The objective of this course has been to equip you with the leadership, command, management and administrative skills necessary to perform duties in your respective units and formations. I am pleased to note your excellent performance which reflects your commitment and collective effort of everyone involved in your training,” said Brigadier Kiswaa.

He expressed gratitude to the training officers, instructors and administrative staff for their unwavering dedication in delivering knowledge and skills to the graduating class.

Commandant Kenya Naval Training College, Colonel Benson Karuimbo commended the graduates for their resilience, discipline and commitment throughout the rigorous course. He congratulated them on the professional milestone and reminded them that completing the course signifies both achievement and greater responsibility.

The event was also attended by Brigadier Douglas Mokwena, Commander Mariakani Garrison, alongside senior officers, officers and service members.
