DG DNSI TOURS UHURU GARDENS NATIONAL MONUMENT AND MUSEUM

The Director General, Defence National Security Industries (DNSI), Major General Faustino Lobaly, on 14 August 2025 toured the Uhuru Gardens National Monument and Museum (UGNMM) in Lang’ata, Nairobi County.

The visit formed part of his ongoing familiarisation tours to Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies (SAGAs) under the Ministry of Defence. He was received and escorted on a facility tour by the UGNMM Director, Brigadier Opiyo Oduor.

During the tour, Major General Lobaly visited the museum’s display galleries and inspected various ongoing projects. UGNMM’s mandate is to collect, preserve, research, and showcase Kenya’s history and culture for present and future generations.

The museum is jointly managed by various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) under the supervision of the Ministry of Defence, serving as a flagship project dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the nation’s heritage.
