KDF JOINS IN INAUGURATION OF KATIBA DAY AT KICC

Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) today joined kenyans during the inauguration of Katiba Day following the proclamation by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, Dr. William Samoei Ruto at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.

The event commemorated fifteen years since the promulgation of the historic Constitution of Kenya (2010), a milestone that redefined the nation’s governance and identity.

Kenya Defence Forces personnel presented the Instruments of State Power: the National Anthem lyrics, the National Seal, the Coat of Arms, the National Flag, and a copy of the 2010 Constitution was presented by the Attorney General.

In his address, the President reaffirmed the Constitution as the bedrock of Kenya’s democracy, the safeguard of its citizens’ rights and freedoms, and the unifying covenant for the nation. Reflecting on its transformative journey, he emphasized the critical importance of upholding its values and reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to justice, inclusivity, and unity for all Kenyans.

“I urge all of us to remain steadfast in upholding constitutional values and principles,” noted the President.

Further he emphasized that the realization of a just, peaceful, and prosperous nation is a collective responsibility resting upon every citizen and institution.
