On 18 September 2025, the Director, Directorate of Oversight, Compliance and Accountability (DOCA), Major General Mohamed Isak Iddi, led a sensitization seminar for Kenya Air Force (KAF) personnel, at Moi Air Base, Eastleigh. He was accompanied by the Chief of Audit Brigadier Elijah Gatere, the Chief of Inspectorate Brigadier Lawrence Ntoyai and the Colonel Provost Colonel D M Muthike.
Major General Iddi was received by the Commander Kenya Air Force, Major General Bernard Waliaula at the KAF Headquarters, before addressing KAF personnel. The seminar focused on promoting transparency, accountability and ethical compliance within the Kenya Defence Forces.
Key discussions included oversight of military operations, compliance and audit processes, investigative procedures, and civil military relations.
In his remarks, Major General Iddi stated, “Our mandate is to safeguard professionalism and ensure strict adherence to national and international legal standards. In other words, we are the watchdog of the KDF. We are here to reinforce a culture of integrity and accountability across all ranks of the KDF, in alignment with national security objectives.”
Also present were the Base Commander Moi Air Base Brigadier Herbert Wafula, senior officers and service members of the Kenya Air Force.
