On 22 September 2025, the Base Commander Moi Air Base (MAB), Brigadier Herbert Wafula, presided over the opening of the Senior Leadership Course No. 99/25 at the Kenya Air Force (KAF) Training Wing in MAB.
The course, the first of its kind to be conducted at MAB, is designed to equip Senior Non-commissioned Officers with leadership skills, character development and the capacity to effectively perform command duties.
In his remarks, Brigadier Wafula emphasized discipline and commitment as key to military service.
“By the end of this course, you are expected to demonstrate clear understanding of the mission, organisation and roles of the Kenya Air Force, as well as the ability to manage and command your subordinates,” he stated.
Commandant KAF Training Wing, Colonel Charles Munyao, noted that the course aims to prepare participants to understand the mission of the Kenya Air Force and to organize, supervise, manage and administer their respective areas of responsibility.
The ceremony was also attended by the Chief of Personnel KAF, Colonel Frank Otiso, senior officers, officers and service members.
