PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE ON DEFENCE, INTELLIGENCE AND FOREIGN RELATIONS VISITS MOI AIR BASE

The Parliamentary Committee on Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations, led by Hon. Major (Rtd) Sheikh Abdullahi Bashir, visited Moi Air Base on 9 October 2025 to evaluate its operational readiness and review the progress of ongoing capital projects.

The delegation was received by the Deputy Commander Kenya Air Force, Brigadier Samuel Kipkorir, who briefed the members on the history of the base, the types of air assets operated, ongoing development initiatives, and the challenges faced.

After the briefing, the committee toured various sections of the base to gain first-hand insight into its operations and infrastructure development.

Also present were the Base Commander Embakasi Air Base, Brigadier Stephen Kapkory, together with commanding officers, senior officers, officers and service members.
