Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officers joined counterparts from across the world at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom’s International Day in Shrivenham, Swindon, on 29 November 2025.
The event provided a platform to promote national culture, highlight defence capabilities, and strengthen global cooperation.
Kenyan officers undertaking the Advanced Command and Staff Course mounted an exhibition stand showcasing Kenya’s rich heritage—from Big Five wildlife icons to traditional delicacies—while also presenting the country’s growing multi-domain defence industry. Displays featuring shipbuilding and aviation centres of excellence underscored Kenya’s expanding industrial capacity in support of national and economic security.
Kenya’s Defence Attaché to the UK, Colonel Abdirizak Dagane, Exchange Directing Staff, officials from the Kenyan High Commission in London, and members of the Kenyan diaspora attended the event, demonstrating Kenya’s continued commitment to advancing defence diplomacy.
