COMMANDER KENYA ARMY VISITS TROOPS IN TURKANA COUNTY

Commander Kenya Army, Lieutenant General David Ketter, on 03 December 2025 visited troops deployed in Turkana County, where he delivered his annual Christmas and New Year message, commending the soldiers for their unwavering service and sacrifice in safeguarding the nation’s frontiers.

The Commander toured various military installations in the region where he interacted with troops, assessed their welfare and received briefs on ongoing operations.

Addressing the soldiers, Lt Gen Ketter praised their commitment and resilience despite the demanding operating environment.

“Your presence symbolises the highest form of patriotism. While Kenyans across the country gather with their families, you stand guard to ensure they do so in peace. The Kenya Army acknowledges your sacrifice and honours your dedication, “he said.

He further encouraged the troops to remain vigilant and uphold the values of discipline, integrity and professionalism while executing their duties.

During the visit, Lt Gen Ketter conveyed goodwill message from Chief of the Defence Forces, General Charles Kahariri. He reassured the soldiers that their welfare remains a top priority, emphasising ongoing efforts to enhance their welfare.

Present during the tour were 110 Brigade Commander, Brigadier Anthony Rotich, Chief of Operations, Kenya Army Brigadier Charles Oduor, among others.
