LT COL MOSES KAMAU MUCHEMI ‘psc’ (K)

Lt Col Muchemi was enlisted into the Kenya Defence Forces in April 2003 as an Officer Cadet, commissioned in December 2004 and posted to 81 Tank Battalion where he served as Troop Commander, Squadron second in Command and Squadron Commander. He has done various Courses including, Joint Command and Staff Course, Junior Command course, Squadron Commanders course, G3 course and United Nations Staff Officers course.
Lt Col Muchemi has held Command, Staff and Training appointments. He has previously served as Commandant School of Armour, Chief of Joint Operations of the Multi Agency Security Operation in the Boni, Directing Staff Junior Joint Command and Staff Division and Staff Officer at the International Peace Support Training College, Kenya.
He served in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) as Company Commander 2013-2014 and African Mission in Somalia as a Tank Squadron Commander 2016-2017.
Lt Col Muchemi holds a Masters of Science in Strategic Security Studies from Kenyatta University, Postgraduate Diploma in Defence and Strategic Studies from the National Defence University of Kenya, Bachelor of Science in Military Studies from Egerton University and Level Six Diploma in Certified Security Management Practitioner.
