KDF forces operating under Operation Maliza Uhalifu in the North Rift, conducted a friendly football match with a team drawn from the Kapedo community as part of ongoing civil–military cooperation and community engagement initiatives. The activity was aimed at strengthening interaction between security personnel and local residents, leveraging sports as an effective tool to promote teamwork, mutual trust, and social cohesion within the area.

The engagement highlighted the importance of non-kinetic approaches in complementing security operations by fostering togetherness and encouraging peaceful coexistence among the local population. Such interactions continue to play a critical role in enhancing mutual understanding and reinforcing positive relations between the security forces and the community.
