Strong international defence partnerships are vital in enhancing military capabilities, professional development and cooperation in addressing emerging security challenges.
In this spirit, Commander Kenya Air Force, Major General Bernard Waliaula, today hosted the Defence Attaché to India, Captain Arjit Pande, at Headquarters Kenya Air Force.
The courtesy call focused on strengthening the longstanding defence relationship between Kenya and India, particularly in capacity building, professional military education, training opportunities and the exchange of expertise between the two air forces.
Major General Waliaula emphasized the value of strategic military partnerships in enhancing operational effectiveness and regional security.
“We value our strong partnership with India. Such engagements are essential in strengthening professional ties, enhancing knowledge exchange and building the capabilities required to address contemporary security challenges,” said the Commander Kenya Air Force.
Captain Arjit Pande reaffirmed India’s commitment to advancing defence cooperation with Kenya and expressed optimism for continued collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
The engagement reaffirmed the strong diplomatic and military ties between Kenya and India, underscoring the shared commitment of both nations to promoting peace, security and enhanced defence cooperation.
