A healthy and resilient military force is fundamental to national security, underpinning operational readiness, mission effectiveness and the wellbeing of service personnel.
The Director of Medical Services (DMS), Major General (Dr) Francis Kuria, paid a courtesy call on the Commander Kenya Air Force, Major General Bernard Waliaula, on 1 September 2026 at Kenya Air Force Headquarters. Accompanied by the Managing Director, Ulinzi Prime Health Services Fund, Brigadier (Dr) Atanasias Odhiambo, and the Chief of Air Force Medical Services, Brigadier (Dr) Milton Obilo, the DMS held discussions with the Commander on strengthening medical support and enhancing healthcare delivery across the Service.
The DMS also engaged KAF medical officers before proceeding to Moi Air Base Aviation Hospital, where he received briefings on the facility’s capabilities, ongoing projects, achievements and the specialised healthcare requirements of an aviation environment. He toured key departments, interacted with medical staff and patients, and commended the healthcare personnel for their professionalism and dedication.
The visit reaffirmed the Directorate of Medical Services’ commitment to supporting KAF medical facilities through enhanced patient care, infrastructure development and medical support. It underscored the critical role of robust military healthcare in sustaining a healthy, resilient and mission ready Kenya Air Force.
