The Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC) recently hosted an induction for newly employed staff of the National Defence University-Kenya (NDU-K). JCSC is a College of NDU-K.
During the visit to JCSC, the Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor at JCSC, Brigadier David Chesire, accompanied by the College Heads of Departments and lecturers domiciled at JCSC warmly welcomed the newly employed NDU-K staff. The visiting staff members were led by Colonel Wilson Rono, the University’s Head of Post Graduate Studies.
In his welcoming remarks, the Deputy Commandant congratulated the newly employed NDU-K staff on their appointments and encouraged them to optimize the induction opportunity to gain comprehensive understanding of the college structure and operations. He further stated that the college looks forward to their invaluable support upon their deployment by the university.
The induction session featured a detailed presentation covering the College’s mandate, leadership structure, organisational framework and core functions.
After the presentation, participants were taken through a guided tour of the College facilities, offering practical exposure to the institution’s operational environment and infrastructure.
