The Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC) hosted the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) of the Gambia Armed Forces and his delegation during his official visit to the College on Wednesday, 8 October 2025.
The CDS paid a courtesy call on the Commandant JCSC, Major General Eric Kinuthia. The delegation was briefed on the college mandate, programmes/activities and collaborations.
The visit also included a guided tour of key College facilities whereby the delegation had an opportunity to appreciate the training environment and infrastructure that supports the College’s professional and academic programmes.
The visit also explored areas of collaboration, specifically how the College’s Directing Staff could help establish and develop a similar training institution in The Gambia. This interaction underscored the importance of continued cooperation and professional exchange to advance continental military education and strengthen defence partnerships.
