Colonel Benjamin Yatich Kiprop is the Head of Writing Team (HOWT) at the Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC). He was enlisted in the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) on 16 August 1994, and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 29 November 1995, starting his military career in the Kenya Navy.
Colonel Kiprop holds a Bachelor’s degree in Military Science from Egerton University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Studies from the University of Nairobi. Prior to his current appointment, he served in various positions, including Colonel PR and Sports, Colonel Audit at Defence Headquarters, and Commanding Officer Administration KNB Mtongwe, among others. He has participated also participated in peacekeeping Missions in UNAMSIL (Sierra Leone), MONUC (DRC) and AMISOM (Somalia).
