Lt Col F L LEMISO ‘psc’ (K)
CO CAW
Lt Col F L Lemiso is the current Commanding Officer Camp Admin Wing (CO CAW) at the Joint Command and Staff College. He enlisted in the Kenya Defence Forces in January 2007 as an Officer Cadet, was commissioned in July 2008 and subsequently posted to 5 Kenya Rifles. During his tenure there, he served progressively as a Platoon Commander, Communication Officer, Company Second-in-Command, and Company Commander. His professional military education includes Platoon Commanders’ Course, Signal Officers’ Basic Communication Course, Forward Air Controller Course, Grade 3 Staff Course, Company Commanders Course, Junior Command Course and the Senior Joint Command and Staff Course.
Throughout his career, Lt Col Lemiso has held a variety of Command and Staff positions. These include serving as Regimental Signal Officer at 5 Kenya Rifles and as Officer Commanding/Admin Officer at Western Command Headquarters, in addition to earlier command roles at platoon and company levels.
He also contributed to regional peacekeeping efforts as a Military Observer with the IGAD Mission in South Sudan.
Academically, Lt Col Lemiso holds a Bachelor of Science in Military Science from Egerton University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Defence and Strategic Studies from the National Defence University of Kenya and certificate in Leadership, Command and Management from Kenya School of Government.
