The Chief of the Defence Forces, General Charles Kahariri received the Pioneer Moroccan Defence Attaché, Colonel Said Moistaid, at the Defence Headquarters in Nairobi.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral defence relations between Kenya and the Kingdom of Morocco.
During the engagement, Colonel Moistaid conveyed Morocco’s keen interest in expanding defence cooperation with Kenya and reaffirmed his country’s commitment to deepening military collaboration between the two nations. He further expressed optimism that defence ties with the Kenya Defence Forces would grow during his tour of duty.
General Kahariri welcomed the engagement and thanked Colonel Moistaid for his efforts in advancing cooperation between the two defence establishments. He also expressed appreciation for the invitation to undertake a working visit to Morocco.
The CDF noted that a framework to guide defence cooperation between the two countries is currently under consideration.
