CDF VISITS TROOPS IN ISIOLO REGION

The Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF), General Charles Kahariri, visited Kenya Army troops in the Isiolo region, reaffirming the Kenya Defence Forces’ commitment to operational readiness, troop welfare, and continued national security efforts. He also conveyed a Christmas message of goodwill to the soldiers.

In his address, General Kahariri commended the troops for their resilience, professionalism, and dedication to safeguarding the nation amid evolving security dynamics. He underscored the importance of teamwork, vigilance, and adherence to mission objectives, noting that their role remains vital to the stability of the area.

“Our strength as a force is determined by our training, cohesion, and unwavering commitment to mission success. Every soldier must remain ready to answer the call of duty at all times,” said General Kahariri. He urged the troops to maintain discipline and uphold the highest standards of service.

As part of KDF’s holistic approach to troop welfare, the CDF proceeded to the Isiolo Regional Hospital (IRH), where he visited KDF personnel receiving medical care, as well as other patients at the facility. The visit formed part of the festive celebrations aimed at spreading cheer and goodwill among the soldiers.

Isiolo remains a strategic area within the national security framework, hosting key training facilities and operational units. The CDF was accompanied by the Commander Kenya Army, Lieutenant General Ketter, along with General Officers, Senior Officers, Officers, and Service Members.
