The Defence Sergeant Major, Warrant Officer Class One (WO1) Bwana Hajji Omar, on Thursday, 12 February 2026, paid a courtesy call to the Commander Kenya Air Force, Major General Bernard Waliaula, at the Kenya Air Force Headquarters.
During the engagement, WO1 Omar conveyed greetings from the Defence Headquarters and reiterated the critical role of the Non-Commissioned Officers’ (NCOs) cadre in sustaining operational effectiveness, discipline, and professionalism within the Service. The discussions underscored the importance of cohesive leadership across all ranks in enhancing mission readiness and joint operational capability.
Major General Waliaula welcomed the Defence Sergeant Major and commended the Defence Headquarters for its continued emphasis on strengthening the NCO leadership framework.
They both deliberated on welfare matters, mentorship programmes, training standards, and the reinforcement of core military values within the Kenya Air Force.
The visit reaffirmed their shared commitment to fostering a motivated force, enhancing inter-service synergy, and upholding the highest standards of service in support of national security objectives.
