COMMANDER KENYA AIR FORCE VISITS LAIKIPIA AIR BASE

The Commander Kenya Air Force (KAF), Major General Bernard Waliaula, recently visited Laikipia Air Base (LAB), where he was received by the Base Commander, Brigadier Mohamud Farah.

During the visit, the Commander officially opened the newly refurbished swimming pool and was briefed on the installation of modern water pumping and cleaning systems designed to uphold high hygiene standards and ensure efficient pool maintenance. He also inspected the renovated changing and shower rooms for both ladies and gents, which have been upgraded to enhance comfort and convenience for users.

Major General Waliaula further toured the ladies’ accommodation area, where he assessed ongoing refurbishment works. The improvements include upgrades to the ablution block, roofing, ceilings, and passageways, marking steady progress in the project.

The refurbishment of these facilities reflects the Kenya Air Force’s commitment to improving the welfare and recreational amenities for its personnel, fostering physical fitness, and promoting morale across the Service.
