COMMANDER KENYA ARMY VISITS GILGIL REGION 

Commander Kenya Army Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) David Ketter made a visit to troops deployed at Kenyatta Barracks in Gilgil, Nakuru County bringing festive season greetings and goodwill as the holiday season approaches. The visit aimed at checking on the morale and welfare of the soldiers and expressing gratitude for their unwavering commitment to duty throughout the year.

The Commander toured various Army units domiciled at Kenyatta Barracks where he interacted with troops and assessed the ongoing projects.

In his address Lt Gen Ketter commended the troops for their hard work, resilience and dedication to duty. He emphasised the importance of professionalism and discipline encouraging them to maintain high standards as they fulfill their mandate.

“Your dedication to serving our nation is commendable. As we enter the festive season, I urge you all to reflect on your achievements and strive for even greater heights in the year ahead,” stated Lt Gen Ketter.

The Commander conveyed festive greetings from Chief of the Defence Forces, General Charles Kahariri and the entire Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) leadership. He assured the soldiers that their well-being is a top priority, highlighting the continuous efforts to improve on their welfare.

He further urged all soldiers to continue maintaining high levels of alertness, especially during the holidays.

Present during the event were Brigadier Gilliard Kimonge, Managing Director Defence Food Production and Processing Factory and Brigadier Edward Nyamao, Garisson Commander Kenyatta Barracks among other Senior Officers, Officers and Service Members.
