The Military Ordinariate of Kenya conducted a Commissioning Mass for members of the Catholic Men Association of Kenya (CMA) during a Diocesan Catholic Men Apostolate celebration held in observance of the Solemnity of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The colourful event was held at Our Lady of Holy Rosary in Embakasi Garrison .
The mass was presided over by the Bishop of the Military Ordinariate of Kenya, Rt. Rev. Wallace Ng’ang’a, bringing together members of the Catholic faithful within the military community in a solemn and well-coordinated setting.
The ceremony marked a key milestone for candidates who, after completing several months of structured formation in church leadership, faith, and family life, were formally initiated into the association.
During the event, candidates were presented before the Bishop to receive blessings, certificates, and CMA insignia, signifying their official induction.
In his address, the Bishop underscored the responsibility entrusted to the newly commissioned members, calling on them to serve as pillars of faith, discipline, and leadership within their families and the wider community. He urged them to embody the virtues of St. Joseph’s integrity, responsibility, humility, and steadfast leadership, while remaining steadfast in their Christian calling.
He further challenged them to lead by example, uphold strong moral values, and provide unity, guidance, and spiritual strength in alignment with both Christian doctrine and the military ethos.
The commissioning is not just ceremonial but a call to action, empowering Catholic men to live out their faith actively and responsibly in both Church and society.
