DEFENCE CS MEETS CHAIRMAN OF VETERANS ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Following the enactment of the Military Veterans Act in June 2022, the Ministry of Defence (MOD) has progressively implemented initiatives aimed at enhancing the welfare of retired Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officers and service members.

Defence Cabinet Secretary Hon Soipan Tuya on Wednesday, 13th August 2025 hosted the Chairman of the Military Veterans Advisory Committee Amb Maj Gen (Rtd) Lucas Tumbo at Defence Headquarters to assess the progress of ongoing initiatives, and identify opportunities for accelerating outstanding aspects.

Amb Maj Gen (Rtd) Tumbo was accompanied by Director of Military Veterans at Defence Headquarters Brig Moses Leriari.
