Defence Cabinet Secretary Hon Soipan Tuya on Monday met Public Service Commission (PSC) Commissioners led by Chairperson Amb Anthony Muchiri and CEO Mr Paul Famba at the Commission offices in Nairobi County.
Hon Tuya and the Commissioners discussed ongoing human resource reforms at the Ministry of Defence (MOD) including staffing levels and schemes of service for several civilian staff cadres.
They also discussed proposals in the draft Defence Civilian Staff Policy (DCSP) which is currently under development with the support of PSC.
The Cabinet Secretary was accompanied by Defence Principal Secretary Dr Patrick Mariru, MOD’s Secretary for Administration Mr Isaac Masinde and Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Director for Medical Services (DMS) Major General George Ng’ang’a.
Present were PSC Commissioners Ms Joan Machayo, Dr Irene Asienga, Mr Francis Meja, Mr Molu Boya and Dr Francis Owino as well as MOD’s Director for Human Resources Dr Lilian Nzavi and Head of Research Mr Franklin Mabeya among other senior Government officials.
