The Defence Forces Rifle Association (DEFRA) pistol team recently competed at the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) League 3 hosted at the Ngong Race Course Jockey Club Shooting Range in Nairobi.
IPSC is a dynamic shooting sport that challenges competitors to balance accuracy, speed, and power across multiple divisions and categories.
The DEFRA team delivered a good performance, securing four medals. Sgt Agatha Muchiri won bronze in the Production Division and silver in the Ladies handgun category. Cpl Irene Ndunda earned bronze in the Open Division and went on to claim gold in the Ladies handgun category.
This highlights DEFRA’s growing presence in competitive shooting and reflects the discipline, skill, and resilience of its shooters. Their achievements underscore the team’s commitment to excellence and continued success in the sport.
