DEFENCE MINISTRY HOSTS PSC FOR CIVIL STAFF POLICY MEETING

The Ministry of Defence Secretary Administration (SA), Mr. Isaac Masinde, on behalf of the Defence Principal Secretary, Dr. Patrick Mariru, hosted Commissioners from the Public Service Commission (PSC) led by Deputy Commission Secretary for Legal Services, Ms. Jacqueline Manani, for a consultative meeting on the proposed Defence Civilian Staff Policy at the Defence Headquarters (DHQ).

During the meeting, Mr Masinde emphasised the importance of strengthening collaboration between the two institutions and establishing a clear policy framework for the effective management of civilian staff within the defence sector.

He further emphasised the need to align the proposed policy with national defence priorities while upholding the core values of fairness, inclusivity, and accountability.

The deliberations are expected to lay the foundation for structured reforms in the management of civilian personnel in the defence sector, with a particular focus on efficiency, compliance, and enhanced service delivery.
