Defence Principal Secretary Dr Patrick Mariru on Thursday accompanied Education Cabinet Secretary Mr Julius Migos Ogamba and colleague Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications Mr Stephen Isaboke for the inspection of the site for the construction a public university in Nyamira County.
The construction of the proposed public university at Kiabonyoru High School grounds in Borabu Sub-County will be overseen by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) through Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).
The first of its kind institution in the agriculturally rich Nyamira County will be located appropriately 12 kilometers south-east of Nyamira town.
Also present was MOD’s Chief of Special Projects Brig Titus Sokobe among other senior national Government, military and Nyamira County officials.
