ENHANCING MARKSMANSHIP IN THE KENYA ARMY

Commander Kenya Army, Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) David Ketter joined troops for a routine range classification exercise, involving Defence Headquarters Units/Branches to validate marksmanship, weapon handling and SOPs under combat conditions, showing Kenya Army’s commitment to training and readiness.

Lt Gen Ketter participated in live-fire drills, interacted with troops, stressed continuous training for mission effectiveness, and praised their discipline, precision, and professionalism for sharpening skills and confidence.

The Commander stated: ‘Range classification is vital for a combat-ready force against security challenges. I urge Commanders to sustain high training standards and foster excellence.’
