The incident, which occurred at an estate located in Kamukunji Sub-County prompted a swift response from emergency teams, with KDF personnel deploying specialized skills in urban search-and-rescue to support efforts to locate victims trapped beneath the rubble.
Working alongside officers from the National Police Service (National Disaster Management Unit), the Nairobi City County Government Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team and firefighters, as well as the Kenya Red Cross Society, the DRB helped coordinate rescue operations at the scene.
