KDF PARTICIPATES IN COLLABORATIVE SECURITY EFFORTS IN LAIKIPIA

The Rift Valley Regional Commissioner, Abdi Hassan, chaired a multi-agency security meeting at the Doldol Deputy County Commissioner’s Office in Laikipia County. The forum brought together key security stakeholders, including the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), to assess the prevailing security situation and identify practical measures to enhance stability in the region.

Deliberations focused on strengthening inter-agency coordination, enhancing the effectiveness of ongoing operations, and addressing the persistent threat of banditry, alongside other emerging security challenges. Emphasis was placed on timely intelligence sharing, joint planning, and synchronized responses to sustain progress in restoring peace and order.

Participants underscored the importance of a cohesive and collaborative approach, noting that close cooperation among stakeholders is critical to fostering stability, improving service delivery, and supporting long-term socio-economic development across Laikipia County and neighbouring areas.

The meeting also highlighted the need to build public confidence through sustained security presence and community engagement initiatives. It provided an opportunity to review ongoing interventions, address operational gaps, and reaffirm unity of effort among multi-agency teams working to safeguard the region.

Representatives from the National Police Service and the National Intelligence Service were also in attendance.
