Kenya Defence Forces troops based in the Diff region, hosted a Civil-Military Cooperation outreach featuring a football match with Diff Boys Football Club on 18th October 2025.
The gesture geared towards building bonds between KDF and local civilians, reflects KDF’s continued commitment to strengthening civil-military relations and supporting the welfare of communities in operational areas.
The activity included a hosted football match at the local grounds, followed by the issuance of new football kits comprising football balls, nets, and uniforms to the team.
In his address to the youth, OC Major Victor Onyuro called for partnership between the local community and security forces. He encouraged the youth to cooperate with the security forces on ground to foster peace and enable an environment of peace and stability.
The community expressed profound gratitude for the generous gesture, highlighting its role in promoting unity. The outreach was warmly received by the community, with locals expressing their appreciation and acknowledging the military’s ongoing efforts in promoting unity and development in the area.
