KDF TROOPS CHAMPIONS EDUCATION AT SINAI COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL

Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) troops deployed under the Multi-Agency Operation Amani Boni (OAB) in Sector North conducted a Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activity at Sinai Comprehensive School, Hulugho Sub-County, Garissa County, during the school’s closing day ceremony. The event, involved the distribution of stationery to the learners as part of ongoing efforts to support education in the region.

Speaking at the event, the Head teacher, Mr. Salleh Abdulahi Farah, expressed heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the school community. He lauded the gesture as one that significantly enriches the learning environment while deepening the existing civilian-military cooperation in the collective fight against terrorism.

Mr. Gabow Maalin Farah, Chairperson of the School Board of Management, commended KDF for its unwavering commitment not only to safeguarding the region from Al-Shabaab threats but also empowering local institutions. He emphasized that such initiatives uplift community morale, strengthen public trust, and positively influence academic performance.

This CIMIC engagement forms part of KDF’s wider community outreach programme aimed at fostering peaceful coexistence, improving education standards, and reinforcing mutual trust between security forces and the local population. Beyond the provision of material support, the activity offered learners a unique opportunity to interact with KDF personnel, share their aspirations, and discuss challenges within their educational environment.
