Stakeholders of the Kenya Defence Forces Sponsored Schools (KDFSS) convened for a consultative meeting on 05 March 2026 at the Defence Headquarters Officers’ Mess under the theme “Unlocking the Potential of KDFSS to Provide Holistic Education.”
The meeting brought together heads of institutions, principals, and members of the Boards of Management (BOM) from various KDF sponsored schools to deliberate on strategies aimed at strengthening the management, coordination, and overall performance of the institutions.
The Vice Chief of the Defence Forces, Lieutenant General John Omenda, who graced the event as the Chief Guest, emphasized the importance of collaboration among stakeholders in enhancing the quality of education offered in KDF sponsored schools noting that the institutions play a critical role in nurturing disciplined, responsible, and well rounded learners through academic excellence, leadership, and character development.
Also present was the General Officer Commanding Western Command, Major General Jeff Nyaga, who encouraged stakeholders to strengthen cooperation and maintain high standards in the management of the institutions to ensure that learners receive quality and holistic education.
Participants discussed key issues affecting the institutions including academic performance, student welfare, infrastructure development, and strengthening coordination between the schools and the Kenya Defence Forces leadership.
