On 3 December 2025, the Commander Kenya Air Force, Major General Bernard Waliaula, hosted the China Defence Attaché to Kenya, Senior Colonel Zhao Peng, at the Kenya Air Force Headquarters.
During the engagement, the discussions focused on strengthening existing defence cooperation as well as exploring new areas of partnership beneficial to both countries. The meeting acknowledged the strong foundation of collaboration already established and emphasised the importance of continued exchanges in capacity building, training and knowledge sharing.
The visit reaffirmed the mutual commitment of the Kenya Air Force and the People’s Republic of China to enhancing strategic relations and fostering productive bilateral collaborations in support of regional stability and shared security objectives.
