KENYA AIR FORCE LEADERSHIP CONVENES FOR STRATEGIC FORMATION COMMANDERS MEETING

On 10 December 2025, the Kenya Air Force (KAF) held its second Formation Commanders Meeting under the leadership of the Commander KAF, Major General Bernard Waliaula, hosted at Laikipia Air Base under the theme “Empowering KAF Personnel: Building a Professional and Adaptive Air Power Team.”

The meeting brought together Base and Formation Commanders, as well as Principal Staff Officers from KAF Headquarters. The Comd KAF appreciated the collective effort demonstrated to date, noting the confidence and commendation expressed by the CDF and Service Commanders. He urged leaders to pass this appreciation to their troops for tasks well executed and reflected on the outcomes of the recently held KDF Formation Commanders Conference.

Discussions addressed the achievements, challenges and emerging opportunities across Bases and Formations, with a focus on strengthening operational readiness and enhancing personnel welfare.

The Comd KAF closed the meeting by emphasizing the need for continued synergy across Headquarters, Bases and Formations, including synchronized communication. Reaffirming that the military is anchored on Discipline, Patriotism and Loyalty, he reminded commanders of their vital role in sustaining morale and reassuring their personnel that the process works and must be trusted.
