The Kenya Ordnance Factories Corporation (KOFC), held a management workshop themed ‘Enhancing Productivity and Motivation for Organizational Excellence’ which brought together senior management and departmental heads in a thought-provoking session aimed at strengthening leadership effectiveness, organizational culture, and operational performance.
The event was graced by ambassador Major General (Rtd) Lucas Tumbo and Dr. Julius Kipngetich, who engaged participants on strategies for inspiring teams, aligning institutional goals with national priorities, and driving innovation in the defence-manufacturing sector.
Dr. Kipngetich emphasized the importance of purpose-driven leadership, agility, and continuous improvement as key enablers of sustainable excellence, while Amb. Maj Gen (Rtd) Tumbo underscored the need for discipline, teamwork, and mentorship as foundational values of success.
Speaking during the workshop, the Managing Director of KOFC Maj Gen George Okumu reaffirmed the Corporation’s commitment to fostering a motivated, high-performing workforce capable of delivering quality defence products and services that support Kenya’s national security objectives and contribute to industrial growth.
This workshop marks a significant step in KOFC’s journey towards organizational transformation and operational excellence, as the Corporation continues to strengthen its role as a strategic player in Kenya’s defence and industrial landscape.
