The Trade Fair was officially opened by President Dr. William Samoei Ruto, Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, on 1st October 2025. During his visit, he toured the MOD Pavilion, engaged with personnel, and later presented trophies—including the ten 1st-place awards earned by MOD—at the NITF Arena.
Earlier, in a tour of the pavilion on 30th September 2025, Chief of the Defence Forces, General Charles Kahariri, accompanied by Commander Kenya Army, Lieutenant General David Ketter, Commander Kenya Air Force, Major General Bernard Waliula, General Officers and Senior Officers, commended the participants managing the MOD stands for the efforts to align the displays with this year’s theme.
“I am impressed by the quality of the displays I have seen today. It is incumbent on us to continue to uphold MOD’s high standards in everything we do here. We must ensure that members of the public who visit our displays leave with a better understanding of the Ministry and KDF”, said General Kahariri at the end of the tour.
The 2025 NITF, which began on 30th September, concludes on 5th October 2025. The public is encouraged to visit the MOD Pavilion to interact with personnel and learn more about the Ministry’s operations.
