MOI AIR BASE CONDUCTS TREE PLANTING EXERCISE AT KONZA CITY

On 29 October 2025, Moi Air Base (MAB) undertook a tree planting exercise at Konza City. During the activity, a total of 10,000 tree seedlings were planted, marking a significant step in the Kenya Defence Forces’ (KDF) commitment to environmental conservation and support of the government’s national tree planting initiative.

Speaking during the event, Colonel Pascal Heya of MAB emphasized the broader significance of the exercise. “Today, we are not just planting trees, we are planting hope, resilience, and responsibility for generations to come. Our efforts here are part of a greater vision, the establishment of the MAB Green Park right here in Konza,” he said.

The event brought together officers, service members, Konza City officials led by the Head of Security, Mr. Dennis Onyango, and representatives from the Kenya Forest Service (KFS), showcasing a collaborative partnership between the KDF and key environmental stakeholders.

Through such efforts, MAB continues to play an active role in promoting environmental stewardship, advancing climate action, and contributing to a greener and more sustainable future for Kenya.
