In the spirit of giving back to the community, the National Defence University-Kenya (@NDUKenya) personnel, today paid a visit to the Israel Faith Children’s Home in Lanet, Nakuru County. The visit is part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by the University.
Led by Brigadier Mboya Mwenga, the team donated an array of essential items, including foodstuffs, beddings and other utilities, to support the children and staff of the home. They also spent time interacting with the children, offering encouragement and hope for a bright and promising future.
During the visit , Brig. Mwenga, highlighted that the initiative aimed to spread love and goodwill to the children, helping them feel valued and cherished at all times. He at the same time acknowledged and appreciated the caregivers and staff of the centre for their commitment and dedication to fostering the children and ensuring they experience love and genuine concern.
The institution’s Director, Ms Nancy Mukami, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the University personnel for their compassion and support to the orphaned and underprivileged children. She remarked that the visit uplifted the children’s spirits and inspired hope for a brighter future.
This initiative reflects the NDU-K’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian causes and fostering strong relationships with local communities.
Founded in 2013, Israel Faith Children’s Home is among the largest orphanage in Nakuru County, currently providing shelter and care to more than 90 children from various parts of the country.
